Collage Doll Quilt

This series of colorful doll quilts turned out to be doll size, but also very suitable for use as a wall quilt. They're all about 16" X 20." There's no hanging sleeve, but you can just hang them with two straight pins.

I love all the pretty images in this collage quilt: a big green pansy, cupcake, eggplant, geometrics, and all kinds of leafy, flowery, abstract goodness. These fabrics are designed by Kaffe Fassett, Martha Negley and others at Rowan & Westminster in the UK. Quilters recognize these fabrics in a second!

This quilt is available for sale for $25 at www.etsy.com/shop/karengriskaquilts.
Also see the companion quilt to this one, and many others as well.

Writer's Quilt With Kanji

This is the Writer's Quilt, the latest in the DOLL Quilt series. It measures 14.5" x 17." It has calligraphy, dictionary text, handwriting script, and postage stamps. The main feature is the Kanji writing on the dark taupe background.

Kanji was invented by the Chinese and adopted by the Japanese around the mid 6th century AD. This fragment of text means "pertaining to 3 matters or issues." There is also the number 9. This according to Selvage Blog readers who answered by query.

Pre-Christmas DOLL Quilt Sale, $25

This little quilt, 16" x 20.5" was made from some of my favorite Kaffe Fassett fabrics. I love the colors. It's part of the collection of DOLL Quilts/Wall Hangings that I'm selling on Etsy for only $25 each. This is my first Annual Pre-Christmas Doll Quilt Sale. Magnesina from Poland made a Christmas banner. Take a look at the banner and the quilts. I have 5 more similar quilts almost ready to list.
